Course Description:
Calling all Level 2, Level 3 and RMT Pros who are an active or developing trainer! The Rocky Mountain Region is looking forward to the upcoming Winter season and we always kick things off in style at the annual Member School Managers & Resort Trainer Fall Event. The event will focus on developing a deeper understanding of the National Certification Standards and you'll learn how to effectively use them as a resource, allowing you to set the stage for a successful winter for your school's training team.

This on-snow event is designed to cover topics that are focus areas for the membership in the upcoming season. Expect to discuss and experience updates to PSIA-AASI Certification Standards, specifically updates to the Assessment Activities used for the "Individual Fundamentals" Assessment Criteria at all levels starting this season. We will focus our attention on how these fit into training your staff for new hires, returning pros, continuing education, and certification training.
Day 2 will focus on how we can train our staff to improve accuracy and understanding of Skiing Assessment Activities. Participants also will have an opportunity to discuss changes to the Movement Analysis and Technical Understanding Assessment Activities and how the Center Line framework applies to the Technical Understanding Assessment Criteria.

After attending the Freestyle Clinic Day of MSM, trainers will be ready to describe and utilize assessment activities in training settings and provide feedback in a framework that is consistent with Rocky Mountain education staff. Freestyle trainers will be ready to guide instructors on how information is organized within national documents and how our training and assessments reflect national standards and performance guides. Participants will also know and understand all of the Rocky Mountain freestyle clinic offerings.
- Alpine Trainers Course Both Days

Designed for those who have passed the Alpine Trainer (formerly RMT) Entrance Assessment and are in the Alpine Trainer Accreditation process. Expect to discuss and experience updates to PSIA-AASI Certification Standards, specifically updates to the Assessment Activities used for the "Individual Fundamentals" Assessment Criteria at all levels starting this season. Grow and fine tune your understanding of how precision and accuracy has performance implications for skiing, how to train the concepts, and how this relates to the Alpine Trainer pathway.
- Alpine Examiner 1 Development Both Days

This clinic is for current Alpine Trainers (formerly RMT) who may be considering applying to become a member of the Rocky Mountain Education Staff. Expect to discuss and experience updates to PSIA-AASI Certification Standards, specifically updates to the Assessment Activities used for the "Individual Fundamentals" Assessment Criteria starting this season. Participants will work on their technical understanding, demonstrations, and evaluating on-snow and technical performances. Prepare to work on effectively coaching and providing feedback as it relates to the current Level 1 PSIA-AASI National Standards.
- Snowboard Both Days

This Resort Trainer and Manager-focused version of the Certification Update clinic will cover the changes to Snowboard Levels 1, 2, 3 and Snowboard Trainer process that you need to know to train instructors for certification. This season's clinics will primarily focus on adjustments made to the certification process as we move towards national alignment, as well as focus on how the Technical, Teaching, and People Skills Fundamentals and the Performance Guide are being applied in the exam.
Attendees will discuss current and future changes to exam format and tasks, ride through new and changed activities, and experience the Teach and MA formats. Participants will gain a better understanding of the current exam candidate experience and how to better prepare and train instructors for exams. As time allows, we will dive into tactics for delivering compelling training and designing an environment for professional learning.
This session is ideally suited to those who currently train new and returning instructors, and resort managers who would like a better understanding of how Snowboard Certification has evolved. Alpine participants are welcome. This may be taken as a one-day or two-day session.

This clinic is intended for administrators, managers, and trainers of any school or discipline who want to participate in fun and engaging activities and group discussion topics pertinent to adaptive schools such as novel multi-discipline training programs for instructor engagement, retention, and advancement; PSIA-AASI RM 2025-2026 Adaptive events schedule and products; materials and opportunities to support instructor training and certification preparation; multi-disciplinary approach to tethering and assists for guest success and independence; experiential session in sit-down snowboarding; and PSIA-AASI National Adaptive alpine skiing and snowboarding certification standards and processes updates.

- Snowboard Trainer in Process Both Days

For those who have passed the Snowboard Trainer Entrance Exam and are currently in the Snowboard Trainer process. Your clinic leader will tailor this clinic experience to those focused on completing the process. This includes opportunities to get in front of the group, and to perform activities from the L1-L3 Task Chart and receive feedback.
- Snowboard E1 Development Both Days

Snowboard Examiner 1 Development: The 2025 E1 clinic is for current Snowboard Trainers interested in applying for a job as a Rocky Mountain Snowboard Examiner. This is not a required step for examiner job application, but is highly recommended. Participants will gain experience setting up assessment activities and calibrating their eye with examiners. We will use activities from the snowboard activity chart to show integrated and highlighted applications of the Snowboard Fundamentals to help you understand the evolution of the Assessment Criteria from Level 1 to level 3 and leave the clinic confident to train pros at your home area.
- Cross Country Both Days

This course is for experienced cross-country ski instructors and coaches to kick off the season with early training among peers. Centered on collaborative learning, it offers opportunities to exchange ideas, participate in exploratory workshops, and refine technical, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Sharpen your skiing and fill your teaching and training toolkit.
