Course Description:

Level I Adaptive Alpine certification candidates are required to complete the Online L I Module Exam at least one week before the on-hill assessment. Ample time will be provided to complete the test but not enough to "look up" answers in your library. Online exams consist of two different tests for each of the disciplines in a module, totaling four online tests per module.

This is a one-day Module Assessment in which candidates will be verified in their skiing, teaching, medical & technical knowledge, and competent use of mono-ski and bi-ski adaptive equipment.

The PSIA-RM office will send you notice of all other participants in your exam. It is your responsibility to work with your fellow examinees and bring all equipment that is needed for your on-hill exam.

Hit the books now before we all hit the snow. A great place to start is with our current national publications such as the PSIA Adaptive Alpine Manual, PSIA Alpine Adaptive Instruction Supplement: Diagnoses and Medication Classifications, PSIA Alpine Technical Manual, and the Snowsports Teaching Manual for Snowsports Instructors. Digital versions are available for free at Digital Manuals. Please spend time reviewing the educational resources available on the Adaptive Alpine Reference Materials section of the PSIA-RM website.
