Course Description:
This two-day on-snow course is a prerequisite for the Children's Trainer Assessment and is designed to prepare candidates to develop and lead a variety of children's clinics at their home resort, including preparation clinics for CS1, CS2, and CT. Participants will be asked to lead multi-discipline on-snow clinics and demonstrate level appropriate children's movement and technical analysis.
Participant workbooks will be reviewed before the event and participants may be assigned a clinic to lead from their workbook and/or from other references. Clinic leading will focus on experiential learning using creative and movement-based learning activities to share, clarify, and expand knowledge.
Candidates must be familiar with the Children's National Standards, the Children's Specialist Performance Guide, and the Learning Connection Model. Please review all CS1, CS2 and CT materials prior to attending this event.
If you need an ADA accommodation, please reference this document and contact the division office at least 4 weeks prior to the event. Please note, events can fill up at any time, even prior to the registration deadline. Rocky Mountain reserves the right to cancel an event due to low event registrations or other reasons at any time. Typically a decision is made 2-3 weeks from the event start date regarding cancellation. If booking lodging, please check the cancellation policy for the lodging you reserve.
