Adaptive Snowboard (ASB) Level 1 Certification
Prerequisite:
- Download the Adaptive Snowboard Resource Guide from the website
- Complete and pass the online Snowboard Level 1 E-Learning Module
- Current on Dues & Credit Hours
Required:
- Successful completion ASB ITC or Instructor Training Course
- 3 days total for ASB Level 1
Adaptive Snowboard Level 2 Certification
Prerequisite:
- Successful completion of the ASB Level 1 Certification
- Completion of the workbook for each specialty prior to the prep
- Complete each 1 day Level 2 Assessment Prep for three specialties (Cog/VI/HOH, Physical Stand-up or Sit-down) The Prep is mandatory
- Current on Dues & Credit hours
Required:
- Recommended 20 hours of teaching ASB students in each specialty
- Successfully complete the 3 day ASB Level 2 Assessment (all include a short written exam)
- 6 Days total for ASB Level 2
Adaptive Snowboard Level 3 Certification
Prerequisite:
- Successful completion of Adaptive Snowboard 2
- Successful completion of 2-day ASB Level 3 Assessment Prep Course
- Recommended overall 100 hours of teaching ASB students and/or training ASB Instructors
- Current on Dues & Credit Hours
Required:
- Successful completion of 2-day ASB Level 3 Assessment, including a short written exam ( you must pass these )
- 4 days total for ASB Level 3
More Information for ASB Applicants:
Clinic and Assessment participants are expected to bring adaptive equipment to their events including: Outriggers, blind bibs, SB clamps and tethers, at least one bi-ski for every 2-3 participants in a physical sit-down group.
