Course Description:
Step into the world of cross-country skiing excellence through our Cross Country Level 1 On Snow Assessment. This opportunity is crafted to validate your competency in people and teaching skills, and technical skiing, all aligned with the PSIA Cross Country Level 1 Certification Standards.
Join us if you've completed the Cross Country Level 1 Preparation Clinic or met the qualifying criteria.
Our Assessment Educators are here to help you succeed. We value the strength of our group dynamic and aim to create a positive certification event together. Please actively contribute, listen, and be open-minded. Your assessment day unfolds with a warm welcome and introduction, followed by skiing sessions that put your abilities to the test. Receive constructive feedback, fostering growth in skiing skills, teaching approaches, and people skills.
Throughout the day, the assessment focuses on practical demonstrations of skiing and teaching skills. Engage in teaching sessions, tailor-made for beginners or novice skiers. We emphasize open communication, professionalism, and self-management as core elements. You will also join the movement analysis process, where you'll observe skiing videos and participate in discussions to enhance your understanding. Share feedback with peers and educators to enrich the learning experience further.
